Mario Kart DS is one of my favorite games in the Mario Kart series. So I decided to do a review of the game for Throwback Weekend!
Mario Kart DS brings excitement to the whole family. With unlockable characters such as, Waluigi, Dry Bones, Daisy, and R.O.B., the game gets challenging many times. Plus, it comes out with the traditional Mirror Mode.
When their are some ol' features that are Balloon Battle in which you pick a character and try to be the last one to survive with the most balloons and try to pop every character's balloon. You create balloons when you blow into the mic. Although, you can only blow up to 6 balloons. The other mode is, Shine Runners. In Shine Runners, you're supposed to collect the most Shine Runners in various maps such as, Tart Top, Block Fort, and many more which all bring excitement to players.
Overall, the Mario Kart series will never age out and this Mario Kart game will be one of my all-time favorites. I rate this classic a 9.7 out of 10.
