CLASSIC SATURDAYS: Disney's DuckTales (NES 80s) Review
Hello Gamers!
Welcome to the pilot post of Classic Saturdays where we review our favorite video games from the 80s and 90s! Today we are reviewing Disney's DuckTales which is planning to have a reboot they announced at E3 2013. But, that's not the DuckTales game we're talking about! DuckTales on the NES was a platformer. Back then, platformers were very popular with Super Mario Bros. Disney decided to hop on the bandwagon and make a platformer their self. And that's how DuckTales was made.
Adding some of the cutest characters from Disney is just amazing and putting them into a video game? More awesome. One of the things I loved about DuckTales was Uncle Scrooge's character where you can just bounce away with his pogo stick on enemies' heads. It was definitely one of the happier moments of my childhood. Every level in the game is unique in it's own way. The detail is very great and it's video game environments really make a game standout from other platformers during the late 80s.
Overall, I'm really excited for the DuckTales reboot of DuckTales: Remastered. But, DuckTales from the 80s was a trip down memory lane. Turning on my NES with nostalgia never gets old. I just hope that Disney still made awesome games during this decade. I mean like Epic Mickey? Really? Anyways to conclude this week's version of Classic Saturdays, I rate DuckTales a 9.5 out of 10.
