Hello Movie Watchers!
In the ruins of medieval Scottish Higlands, Pixar brings us the newest Pixar film, Brave in which we follow Merida. She loves riding her horse, Angus and slinging a bow and arrow across the forest. (sounds like Katniss Everdeen) Although, Merida is a rough and clumsy girl trying to survive her strict mom, Queen Elinor, she learns a valuable lesson.
Merida wants to be just like her mom. But her mom won't allow that. Queen Elinor has planned marriage suitors for Merida in which leads up to a festive for everyone but the princess. Embarrassing her mother, Merida's mom takes her into the flees of the woods. There, she discovers that a Stonehenge-like ruin gives some magical beings, including and old witch who grants Merida's witch to change her mother's personality. Soon, Merida comes home and realizes that her wish was a bad decision and spends the rest of the movie trying to fix her reckless wish.
Anyways, Brave is known for it's studio known for it's groundbreaking hits such as Up, Toy Story, and Monsters Inc. Pixar did well with Brave; younger kids will rave how much they'll love Merida and how great Brave was. While, grownups will gaze at the artistry of Brave. But, always the grownups will leave remembering the old Pixar they loved that made classics.
Overall, Brave isn't too bad or too good. Like every Disney movie, this movie had a great lesson of respecting your parents. With that, I give Brave a 7.5 out of 10.
