TIPS/TRICKS THURSDAYS: How To Get A Highscore In Tetris

Hello Gamers!
Welcome to this week's Tips/Tricks Thursday! Today on TTT, I will help you on how to get a highscore and improve in the classic game, Tetris. I still play Tetris on TetrisFriends.com and I'm in love with Tetris so, I want you guys to get sucked into the game also.

First of all, what you need to understand about the game Tetris is that you level up more quickly and get much more points when you clear four rows at the same time. It's very rewarding and if you continue to work at that pace, you'll be getting some pretty high scores for days.

Lastly, and the most important tip for Tetris is to not make any holes. Keep this in your head! This is the golden rule of Tetris and if you don't make any holes, you'd be leveling up all day everyday. Also, you always should make one slot for the blue Tetromino so you can get a Tetris which will hopefully level you up. Just stack some blocks neatly, but just don't go overboard that you might just wipeout!

Cloudberry Kingdom Review

Cloudberry Kingdom by Ubisoft is just something different for all people to enjoy on multiple consoles and PC. It's colorful ways really attracts the eye and it's an awesome platform game filled with joy. It's difficulty is rewarding and is great for the family.

The cute and sometimes feisty graphics is what really caught my eye. Judging from the title of Cloudberry Kingdom, I thought the game would probably be cute and mild game. Well, I was wrong. So wrong. Ubisoft adds cute combat which really reminds of Happy Wars in a sidescroller. The game really spices up once you go farther into the game and to be honest with you guys, it's pretty rewarding. Although, at some points, the visuals and graphics such as the lasers, just get pretty ugly.

Overall, the game is great and I wouldn't mind having a Cloudberry Kingdom sequel. It's intense and can get competitive with friends. So competitive it can break friendships.. Just maybe. Anyways, on the serious side, Ubisoft did a great job making Cloudberry Kingdom which leads up to MGR's rating. I rate Cloudberry Kingdom a 8.6 out of 10.

WEAPON WEDNESDAYS: Hyrule Shield from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time

Hey guys, MG here with Weapon Wednesdays.  Today we are featuring a classic defensive weapon from Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time which is by far one of the best games ever since the 90's.  The Hyrule Shield protects you from most melee attacks, especially fiery magic.  The only weak spot for a Hyrule Shield is that it is metal, so it can conduct electricity and shock Link even harder than without the blessed shield.  That's it for this post, see you back next time!

New Black 3DSXL Coming to 'Muricah

Hey guys, MG here with some gaming news.  A Black 3DS is coming to America along with Mario and Luigi: Dream Team, the highly anticipated Mario game.  This isn't anything new for Nintendo since they oftenly release new colors for older consoles (if you can call them that) such as the DSI or the DS Lite.  That is it for this post, and I will see you guys back next time!

TROLLING TUESDAYS: League of Legends Trolling

Hello Gamers!
It's time for some Trolling Tuesdays! I'm starting to think that Tuesdays is my favorite day now just because I can finally troll someone or even get TROLLED by someone. Anyways, this week on Trolling Tuesdays, I take my trolling talents to League of Legends. I seriously had no idea what I did, but apparently it's a troll to others.

Although, I do prefer Dota over League, I think me don't know what I'm doing on League and apparently trolling someone is an automatic win win situation for me.

NEWS: XCOM: The Bureau is 10% Off for Pre-Orders, is That a Bad Sign?

Hey guys, MG here with some news about XCOM.  It appears that the price has gone down by 10%, so either they aren't recieving enough pre-orders or they are getting an abundance of pre-orders and want to treat the people who haven't bought it yet.  I have already pre-ordered it, but I don't have high hopes for it since it seems that the RTS is becoming a Futuristic 3rd-person shooter with the slightest bit of simple strategy.  I hope my predictions are incorrect, but you never know until you get the game.  By the way, I am sorry I coudn't stream last night, I had a BBQ to go to.  I hope you enjoyed this fore-warning!

Hello Gamers!
Lemonlime6 here with a MGR Exclusive! Polytron has announced via Twitter, that they have cancelled the Fez sequel, Fez II.

I am completely bummed out for this announcement. I guesss Polytron had to do what they had to do. And one of those things was to cancel Fez II.

CLASSIC SATURDAYS: Galaga (80s) Review

Hello Gamers!
Welcome to this week's Classic Saturday where we review your favorite video games from the 70s, 80s, and 90s! This week on Classic Saturday, I do a review of Galaga which was a famous arcade game during the early 80s.

Galaga brings you a challenge every single level and it's bright colors really attracts the eye considering it's only a 8-bit game. Namco did a great job making the game really colorful and great and very addicting. The sound is amazing and I absolutely love the Galaga theme song. Although, I think the graphics could have been more straight, though, the graphics are pretty complex to begin with.

Overall, the game is great, and I would like to see a Galaga HD reboot on a next gen console. I rate Galaga a 8.2 out of 10.

What Does the Future Hold for MonkeyGamerReviews?

Hey guys, MG here to talk about stuff.  MGR has come a long way, but we do not really know what to do.  Some things we do have planned though are a Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram account which will be out soon.  I know I said that a Whitelisted server (MC ONLY) was coming, but the effort was useless because my Computer is high-security so it would have taken hours just to have taken down the firewall and it seemed as if I didn't have enough time to complete it.  So, if anyone in the community would like to host a VANILLA WHITELIST Server go ahead and put yourself out there.  A MGR Forums is also coming in September for discussions about current gaming news and MGR talk.  MGA (MonkeyGamerAwards) will be different this year, but still fun.  If we get 100 subs on the Youtube we will do MGA on the first of September, and another one on Christmas if we get 1,000,000 hits on this site.  The one on Christmas is definite even if we don't get 1,000,000 hits, but if we don't get 100 subs we won't have a summer MGA.  Hope you are exited for the FFFFUTTTTUREEE!
Also, Black Ops 2 livestreams will be weekly on Saturdays at 9:00 Eastern Time

F1 Coming This Fall

Hello Gamers!
Today, Codemasters has announced that F1 will be coming out on the PC, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360 on October 8.

Some things the game offers are new race cars, classic tracks to race on, and much much more! Last years game was loved by many people and I hope this years version will be the same.

TOP 5 FRIDAYS: Top 5 Angry Birds Games

Hello Gamers! Welcome to Top 5 Friday! This week's Top 5 Friday we feature the Top 5 Angry Birds Games. As of right now, there are only five Angry Birds Games. So this would be perfect for a Top 5 Friday! Anyways, let's start off the countdown.

                                                                                     5. Angry Birds

The original Angry Birds at first was absolutely great and was pretty much the Candy Crush Saga and Temple Run of 2010. Though, some levels can be pretty easy (not to brag), Rovio continues to have updates for this game with new levels and challenges.

4. Angry Birds Seasons

In my opinion, Angry Birds Seasons is probably one of the most hardest Angry Birds game in the series. Although, Rovio does a fantastic job making some items collaborate with the theme they're trying to establish in Angry Birds Seasons. The updates are very consistent so props to Rovio!

3. Angry Birds Rio

Angry Birds Rio is one of the best Angry Birds games hands down. The bright colors and new birds make the game so beautiful and work very well. Rio was a great movie and having an Angry Birds spin-off was just well planned out.

2. Angry Birds Space

Birds in space was just amazing. Zero gravity action and flying pigs in bubbles? I mean c'mon now. I'm telling you, PIGS DO FLY! Although, the new birds they add really add up to a crazy gameplay, but it's still worth it.

1. Angry Birds Star Wars

We've seen an Angry Birds & Rio spin-off. And now we see an Angry Birds & Star Wars spin-off. Rovio took the risk and it was definitely worth it. The new birds and epic setting was well done. It was so awesome, Angry Birds Star Wars II is coming to The App Store on September 19!

Well, that's it for this week's Top 5 Friday. Don't agree on our countdown? In a comment below, tell us what your countdown would be. Anyways, stay tuned for tomorrow's Classic Saturday!

Kyrie Irving Is NBA LIVE 14's Cover

NBA Live is back with NBA Live 14. Honestly, not too many NBA gamers are fans of the NBA Live franchise considering some of them are saying that 2K took over. I absolutely agree with them, but NBA Live 14 is definitely going to be interesting. Anyways, Kyrie Irving of the Cleveland Cavaliers will be on the cover for NBA Live 14.

I'm not too sure about this game. But what I am sure about it is that the NBA 2K series will still take over. I guess I'll try it out and do a comparison. It's going to be very, very interesting.

Rayman Legends Coming to PC

Ubisoft has announced that Rayman Legends will be coming to the PC.

The game will be coming out on August 30 in Europe. While, in North America, the game will come out on September 3. I have tried the Wii U version of Rayman Legends at my local Best Buy, and honestly, it's not that bad. Graphics are crisp and I just hope it's the same way as it is for the other consoles the game is releasing on.

Flyro Review

Brute Farce invites you to Fryro. It's endless flying gamestyle really makes it entertaining in my book. Flyro the bird, came up with a plan to freeze the tropical bird paradise. She takes flying to whole new level, and heats up the game with some fire power.

Flyro has great controles and are pretty responsive for the most part. The control artstyle really reminded me of Jetpack Joyride. What really caught my eye about Flyro is it's action packed gameplay with some cool stunts, and wood that starts to charge at you. This game has it's pros. And it does have it's cons. First of all, it's another endless runner game. Endless runner games all started with Temple Run and now a whole new genre of these games are hitting The App Store.

Although the game sure has it's flaws and pretty awesome, it's pretty worth it for only 99 cents. Overall, the game is cool and I rate Flyro a 8 out of 10.

TIPS/TRICKS THURSDAYS: How to Get Diamonds in Your First Five Hours of Gameplay

Hey guys, MG here to give you tips on how to get Diamonds quickly and easily along with some safety precautions for those tricky diamonds hiding in the ceiling right above lava.  First of all, you never dig directly above or below you in the case that the last diamond of the bunch is held together by toothpicks right over lava, with you standing on it.  What you should do is dig down the block next to and make sure it is safe before jumping in, then mine the diamond while crouching forward so you can catch the diamond.  To get them on your first day, all you have to do is jump down into a ravine or hole that is deep, find a long cave and you are set for life with an Iron pick and stone backup tools.  Torches aren't necessary if you have your brightness maxed out but are preferable since you can stave off mobs with the skin-searing light of fire.

The only before-hand precautions for the surface is to chop down some trees and get the regular survivors needs (Food, Crafting Table, Etc.) and you will be ready to tackle the moldy, blood matted caves of Minecraftia!

WEAPON WEDNESDAYS: Keyblade from Kingdom Hearts

Hello Gamers!
It's Wednesday and you know what that means. Yep, it's Weapon Wednesday time only here at MGR! This week on Weapon Wednesday, I feature Kingdom Hearts' very own Keyblade. The Keyblade appears very often in the Kingdom Hearts games and is loved by many people. It's pretty much the face of the franchise if you think about it.

The Keyblade is Sora's true form and a fun fact, in an interview with Tetsuya Momura, the original weapon was actually like a chainsaw weapon when it was in development. I am a big fan of the Kingdom Hearts series and I'm pretty excited for Kingdom Hearts III.

Anyways, that's it for this week's Weapon Wednesday. Stay tuned for tomorrow's Tips/Tricks Thursdays!

Pikmin 3 Review - MGR SELECT

Join Olimar and new and old Pikmin on a whole new adventure exclusive to the Wii U. Pikmin 3 is an absolute favored franchise and it's difficulty is what makes it so loved by many gamers. The bright green graphics of the garden really appeals the eye and invites young and old to join the new Pikmin adventure.

Pikmin 3 is a great rewarding game.It makes us realize that it doesn't matter what age you are, you will enjoy Pikmin 3 no matter what. After all, who doesn't love Nintendo reboots? The cute Pikmin with plants coming out of it's head is really heartwarming and seeing new Pikmin added to the game really makes the game more interesting. From the most weirdest things you can do like fruit harvesting or bottle rocket space travel, the game is pretty wacky, but can get pretty entertaining and can give you a few laughs.

At some moments of the game, it had me believing that the game had real life graphics thinking that maybe I can find a Pikmin in my backyard. The game's graphics are stellar and really impressive for a Wii U game with a mediocre graphics engine. The game gets pretty strong once one of your Pikmin dies in the wild life and teaches the lesson that we, humans have to take care of our planet. So an awesome game and nice life lesson is combined in Pikmin 3.  Not too shabby, Nintendo. Not too shabby.

I really need to thank Nintendo for bringing back one of the most loveable franchises we miss from our childhood. I tip my hat to you, Nintendo. But, seriously, WE NEED A STAR FOX AND METROID REBOOT! Am I right? Anyways on a serious note, Pikmin 3 is incredible and will have gamers everywhere finally rub the dust off their Wii U gamepad that was definitely in need of new games. I rate Pikmin 3 a 8.8 out of 10 and it's no doubt it's a MGR Select.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What is a MGR Select? A MGR Select is a favored game that we love at Monkey Gamer Reviews and we all recommended it to you and your friends.

My Little Pony Avatars Now Available On Xbox Live

My fellow bronies, get on your Xbox because new My Little Pony avatars are now available for your Xbox Live characters. A list of some items added are some hoodies, shirts, and even a Rainbow Dash pet! The price of these items are the normal price of clothing and pets.

In my opinion, Xbox Avatars are a complete waste of money, but still makes you look cool and you can really express yourself in the most wackiest ways. Although, seeing some My Little Pony clothing on your Xbox Live character makes you look like the cool kid on the block.

TROLLING TUESDAYS: Omegle Trolling 2

Hello Gamers!
Welcome to Trolling Tuesdays: Everyone's favorite day here at MGR! Since you guys loved Omegle Trolling so much, I brought it back pretending to be a Candy Crush Developer and saying that if they give me a suggestion to make Candy Crush better, I can give them a sneak peek on some new levels. Well, so they did. And instead of actually showing them a real sneak peek, I sent them a video of a Rick Roll 10 hour loop.

NOTICE: We are not sponsoring or affiliated with Candy Crush Saga nor King Games.

I guess this week's Trolling Tuesdays can possibly be the best one ever with someone getting trolled and rick rolled combined! Anyways, if you guys love seeing me troll on Omegle, tell us in the comments! Well, c'ya guys tomorrow for some Weapon Wednesday!

TRAILER: Regular Show: Mordecai & Rigby In 8-Bit Land

Recently, WayForward Technologies announced that Regular Show will be getting their own video game that will be heading to the Wii U and 3DS. Well, a trailer has just been released today and although the title is Mordecai & Rigby In 8-Bit Land, the trailer shows gameplay of not being 8-bit.

I enjoy watching Regular Show, as well as MonkeyGamer. And seeing that Regular Show is getting their own game? It will be pretty epic. The game is to release on store shelves on October 29.

March of War: Pilot Review

Hey guys, MG here with another review, this time on  a less popular game named March of War.  This strategy game is very intuitive because in rqacks your brain for differnet ways to get cover from your bloodthirsty enemies who would like nothing more than to turrn your dick into a hot-dog.  This game is very futuristic, a bit more than you would want for a game based in the 1940's.

The 6 factions have different features along the same lines that you would see in any other TBS game like this, which gives it a 6 out of 10.

Where is CarnageDaBoss?

Hey guys, and it is MG here with some saddening news about one of our author, CarnageDaBoss.  We got into an arguement about posting inconsistencey and we finnally decided that Carnage was going to be an anchor holding us down if he only puts two posts up in the span of nearly 4 months, and by then we will most likely have reached our goal of 1 million hits and possibley 1k subscribers.  But, now that Carnage is gone we can just worry about  what Lemonlime6 and I have planned for those faithful fans that check everyday for new posts, and Carnage will be almost care-free for the summer.  Stay tuned for other posts coming to computer screens near you!
