GAMER RANTS: Why Are Apps So Expensive?

Hello Gamers! Welcome to today's Gamer Rant which has me ranting about why some apps are way too expensive. I mean alot of people would pay for this, but c'mon. It's not worth it!

For example, one of the most expensive app on The App Store, XCOM: Enemy Unknown goes by a price of $19.99. The game is pretty great on the PC, but I find it pointless for 2K making an iOS version of the game. You might as well get it on Steam!

Well, if you really want the game buy it! But in my opinion, developers should really stop having these savvy price lines for a simple app.

GAMER RANT: World of Warcraft Makes You Start to Pay When It Starts to Get Good (NOT)

Hey guys, and its MG here with a Gamer Rant. Everyone thought it was great that Blizzard was letting people play WoW for free until level 20, but that is just when the game starts to get good. I refuse to do monthly payments for MMORPG's or just MMO's unless they are somthing I really enjoy (Which is nothing yet) . When I reached level 20 with my Zombie Sorcerer I face-palmed and walked away from the computer, which was a while ago. Overall, this Ganer Rant is a buisness-making wonder for those poor, gullible souls who don't realise what nonsense they're getting themselves into. Stay tuned for another Gamer Rant tommorow!

NHL 14 Cover Features Martin Brodeur

Hockey is coming to the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 with this year's edition of NHL 14. This year, the cover athlete is New Jersey Devils' goaltender, Martin Brodeur.

As a fan of the Devils, I got much more excited for this game. Although the NHL games aren't so great, I have high hopes for this game.

GAMER RANTS: Candy Crush Saga Is Overrated!

Words cannot describe on how much I hate Candy Crush Saga. But really, that's not the point of today's Gamer Rant. The main idea is that Candy Crush Saga is OVERRATED!

So you wake up, check your email and what do you get? Yes, a Candy Crush Saga request from your friends from FaceBook. One of my favorite app to kill time is Flow Free. It's a great puzzle game. As I am enjoying myself, I look at the bottom and I see a Candy Crush Saga ad. I'm telling you, Candy Crush Saga is everywhere!

If you're one of those people that play Candy Crush and is addicted to it. Just stop. Trust me, it will save your life. If you don't believe me continue playing and I would really recommend this rehab center.

Super Paper Pool App Review

Hello Gamers! Super Paper Pool by One Side Software is a very focused and game that is full of patience and concentration. Super Paper Pool isn't one of those fast-paced games such as Fruit Ninja. After all, Super Paper Pool has it's own special type of game style with it's slow paced action.

The gameplay is a lot like a fun game of mini golf. This game is like a golf and pool mashup in space. Once you complete tournaments, you will receive an "A" or "B" score and you can use that score to unlock new tournaments. Although, what I dislike about the game is that it's too slow! Honestly, I have a short attention span and I didn't really enjoy playing this game although, it was pretty entertaining.

Overall, Super Paper Pool is a great time killer, but not recommended for people who find golf pretty boring or for people who enjoy action packed games on The App Store. I would say this game is a lot like other games, but still has it's flaws. I rate Super Paper Pool a 7 out of 10.

Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon Sells Half A Million Copies

The DLC of Far Cry 3's Blood Dragon has sold half a million copies. Ubisoft has sold 500,000 copies in two months.

The game is pretty fun, and it totally deserves this. After all, seeing Far Cry in a funny 80s type of style is totally worth it.

Hello Gamers! The Minecraft convention of MineCon will be coming to Orlando, Florida this year.

                                  

 More good news, Minecraft on Xbox Live Arcade has sold 7 million copies! Minecraft has really grown considering it just started with just one man, Notch.

TOP 5 FRIDAYS: Top 5 PlayStation Characters

Hello Gamers! Welcome to this week's Top 5 Friday featuring the Top 5 PlayStation Characters! PlayStation has tons of video game exclusives that feature one of the coolest characters which makes the PlayStation be so special. Anyways let's start off the countdown!
 

                                                                        5. PaRappa the Rapper

PaRappa the Rapper has been a beloved character in my childhood. A PaRappa the Rapper reboot on the PlayStation 4 won't be bad either. My opinion? PaRappa the Rapper is a better rapper than Lil' Wayne.

4. Sackboy

This cute ball of sack is quite the demon. Sackboy can tackle anything at the same time of getting a girlfriend of Sackgirl.

3. Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth is just a badass. He reminds me much of a pedophile and he would fit right in the show Duck Dynasty. 

2. Cole MacGrath

Cole MacGrath isn't your normal mailman. In my opinion, he's got more powerful than Iron Man. I really wanted him to appear in inFamous Second Son, but I doubt that's happening.

1. Nathan Drake

This heartthrob of many girl gamers got the power of anything. Uncharted is one of my most favorite series on the PlayStation. I would love to see a prequel of Uncharted 3 before the end happened.

GAMER RANTS: Stop Making More Kinect Games!

Hello Gamers! Lemonlime6 here with another Gamer Rant. Today's Gamer Rant has me ranting about video game developers still making more Kinect games. *sigh* Honestly, when they announced the Kinect I was pretty psyched. The whole you're the controller thing really got me excited for it. Until, I tried it out...

The Kinect is pretty unresponsive. You just move your hand, it takes like 3 seconds to respond back. Plus, in my opinion and probably your opinion also, the Kinect is very racist. The Kinect apparently doesn't work on dark-skined people. And Microsoft's excuse for everything that involves your Kinect is.. "Maybe your lighting is bad."

The games I can tolerate are the Just Dance series and the Dance Central series. Both of the games are fun and it works pretty well on the Kinect. Probably only the two games that work well on the Kinect. I mean you can freakin' order pizza on the Kinect. That may sound badass, but in reality, if you think about it, that's pretty bad...

If the Kinect is making a return with the Kinect 2.0, it better impress. But, if the Kinect 2.0 is garbage, the
Xbox One better not be garbage also.

Hello Gamers! Here at Monkey Gamer Reviews, we try to improve in everything we can. We keep our viewers in our hearts providing you all the great video game reviews, trailers, and news. Recently, we started a new series here on Monkey Gamer Reviews called Gamer Rants. In Gamer Rants, we rant about the video game world. Since you guys love Gamer Rants so much, we decided to post a Gamer Rant everyday! Yeah, I said it. EVERYDAY!

So that's the deal and we hope you understand. If a Gamer Rant isn't posted, don't worry we will try and post a Gamer Rant as soon as possible.

Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded Review

Leisure Suit Larry has been a very interesting game from the past. Not too many people remember him, but Larry brings that "oomph" into every game. Not every game is great, but Leisure Suit Larry always has some great laughs in him.

Larry is just one ol' pervert who really reminds me of Peter Griffin. No job, a pervert, and loves beer. In Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded, you play as Larry in where you have to find the right woman and get married by exploring the city of Lost Wages. The story sounds pretty weird, but it's definitely something you'll never see from a different game. It's graphics are mediocre. Pretty much the gameplay is you just pick up items and explore the city by pointing and clicking.

The thing that really impresses me the most is it's graphics. The graphics are pretty wacky, and it really makes Larry fit in the background. The puzzles are much more better than the old PC days of the Leisure Suit Larry series. What really stands out is it's jokes. The whole game is voice commanded which levels up the game. Although, the gameplay can get really boring quick and you may find some puzzles in your way. It's replay value is pretty low and it will probably just be a one and done type of a game.

Overall, the game is okay and can improve in lots of ways. I hope that the Leisure Suit Larry series can improve because I see in the future, one day this series can go big time. To end it, I rate Leisure Suit Larry: Reloaded a 6.3 out of 10.

Subway Surfers Update: World Tour: Paris

Hello Gamers! The Subway Surfers World Tour continues as the crew heads onto Paris. The updates includes, new characters, new world, new achievements, and obviously, new fun! Honestly, I enjoy following the world tour. I hope next time the crew visits the Monkey Gamer Reviews HeadQuarters!

CLASSIC SATURDAYS: Kirby's Dreamland (GameBoy 90s) Review

Hey guys, its MG here with my first Classic Saturday. Kirby's Dreamland was my favorite game from when I was a little kid in the early 90's. I always loved sucking up enemies (not the sexual way) and spitting them out like little cannonballs.

I used to spam the keys so much on my Gameboy, most of the time they got jammed for a few days before I could play again, so eventually I give this groundbreaking game a 9 out of 10.

Walking Dead: Survival Instinct Review

Hey guys, and it's MG here with another review. The Walking Dead is a great game, with multiple variants of situations and Zombie intelligence. Roughly based off of the T.V. show, it caused me to not really want to play and watch so I could get the gist of the game. I just recentley finished watching the Walking Dead series', and I beat the game completely last night in 4 or 5 hours with time to spare until bed. Replay Value isn't great along with the visuals/graphics, So I rate it a 6.5 out of 10.

GAMER RANTS: Skylanders Power A Merchandise Too Expensive!

Hello Gamers! Lemonlime6 back with another Gamer Rant. Skylanders and Gamer Rants have been pretty popular here on Monkey Gamer Reviews, so why not make a Gamer Rant about Skylanders? In this Skylander Gamer Rant, we talk about how the Skylanders Power A Merchandise is way too expensive!

First of all, the Power A Skylanders theme controller for the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii are way too expensive! It costs about $34.99. Plus, the controllers are pretty unresponsive and they're pretty small compared to the normal controllers.

Second, a freakin' Skylanders suitcase is worth $49.99. The thing that gets me so pissed about this is that the suitcase is pretty small! I bet, you can't even fit a single piece of clothing in their.

Lastly, we got a Kindle Fire case featuring Tree Rex, Spyro, Zap, and Eruptor. How much you ask? It's $39.99 for a single case! I bet it isn't even protective. Total expensive piece of crap.

Anyways, that's it for today's Gamer Rant. As long as the Skylanders figures aren't worth this much money I can deal with it. I mean the only thing I care about when it comes to Skylanders is on buying the figures not some crappy suitcase.

GAME REVIEW: DEADPOOL

Hello Gamers! It's finally here I decided to do the review today since I got a lot of views on the Deadpool trailer post. Anyways, Deadpool is mostly like the comics if you read the Deadpool then you know that Deadpool adds all the humor to the game. The graphics are very cartoony like the comics, but just enough to show that it's still a game.This game is very very bloody when you use the swords. I know that already there is gameplays, walkthroughs and reviews of this game already but if your reading this I feel special. Anyway back to the game I really love the humor Deadpool brings to it.I  don't want to spoil the game for you but if you want to watch it, it's in the video.If you don't want to watch skip it.

  The first two minutes really cracked me up so much. If you want to watch the rest of the game play knock yourself out but he is just to funny for me. I watched the whole thing and played it and I finally found the funniest part of the game on YouTube.
    I really liked that he is able to shoot behind his back without aiming. I know that most super hero games the hero's can heal themselves but for this healing himself is one of his ability's. When you see the cuts on him you regenerate the cuts close up.I  thought they stay there but they don't I thought that was really cool. I know this has been a long review but this game was amazing. Most of the hero games just knocks out the enemy's but Deadpool doesn't care he slices off the enemy's body parts! I rate Deadpool a 10 out of 10.

Gran Turismo 6 Demo Coming On July 2

Ever since I was little, I was a big fan of racing games and the Gran Turismo series was one of them. And now, I'm glad to say Gran Turismo 6 is coming to the PlayStation 3 this holiday season. More good news? The demo for Gran Turismo 6 is coming out on July 2.

When the demo is out, 1,200+ cars will be released. Examples of the many cars included on Gran Turismo 6 are the Nissan Leaf, Nissan 370Z, and the Nissan GT-R.

Limbo Coming To iOS Devices

The quite awesome indie game of Limbo by PlayDead is coming to iOS devices! Limbo has already came out for the PS Vita, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. I would like to see Limbo come out on the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.
 

Limbo will be coming to the iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPad 2, iPad 3, iPad Mini, and the newest iPod Touch for $4.99 (*cough cough* overpriced *cough cough*) on July 3.

Company of Heroes 2 Review

 A World War II strategy game of Company of Heroes 2 is a pretty good game considering it's made by SEGA. The recent games by SEGA were pretty crappy. For example, ALIENS: Colonial Marines, that game had an awesome trailer, but the game didn't leave up to the trailer. This game is an okay RTS.

                                        

 The thing I hate about Company of Heroes 2 is it's horrid campaign and multiplayer. The graphics and sound stand out pretty well, but the playability of the game is pretty unresponsive. No doubt that Company of Heroes 1 is way better than Company of Heroes 2. I can see this game fun and entertaining with it's high replay value.

 Overall, Company of Heroes 2 has it's flaws, but I wouldn't really recommended it to a friend. If I wanted to try out the game, I prefer to rent Company of Heroes 2. Overall, this game is a great RTS, but, the campaign and multiplayer are quite the disappointment. To end it, I rate Company of Heroes 2 a 7.5 out of 10.
